Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 CAD per annum

Summary:
As a leading distributor in the Canadian automation and process markets, Davis Controls Ltd. seeks a motivated, organized, and quick-learning Product Specialist to join our Oakville team. The successful candidate will support quotation management, order processing, customer service, follow-ups, and other administrative tasks, contributing to efficient operations and excellent client service
Principle Accountabilities:

- Provide customers with the appropriate information concerning prices, deliveries, and technical specifications
- Offer expert advice to clients in their choices of technologies and components
- Assess customers needs and develop proposals accordingly
- Perform technical research to offer the best solution to the customer
- Ensure that products meet the requirements of plans & specifications
- Create quotations in the CRM system, in collaboration with external Sales Representatives and Product/Sales Managers
- Ensure pricing is in line with the companys policies and objectives while keeping in mind the competition
- Process purchase orders and issue order confirmations
- Provide technical support to clients
- Develop good relationships with customers to maintain and grow sales
- Act as a liaison between customers and our different internal departments to efficiently solve customers problems.
- Assist with keeping our CRM system and database up to date
- Stay up to date with knowledge about new products and technologies
- Attend training sessions given by suppliers
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.
Requirements and Skills:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Electronics, or a related field.
- Technical coursework or certification related to automation, instrumentation, or process control is considered an ASSET.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an inside sales, product support, customer service, or technical support role, preferably within an industrial, automation, or distribution environment.
- Experience preparing quotations, processing sales orders, and supporting customers in a fast-paced office setting.
- Prior exposure to ERP/CRM systems, pricing tools, or order management platforms is an asset.
- Experience working with technical products or coordinating with sales, engineering, and operations teams is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Possess strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
