Working within our state-of-the-art, environmentally designed maintenance shop that provides a top-notch work environment. This position is expected to lead, direct and evaluate the day-to-day operations within our team of Heavy/Light Duty Technicians, Apprentices and Wash Bay crew. If you're committed to quality and want to be part of a company that prioritizes sustainability and innovation, we want to hear from you! ##### **Position:** **Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)** ##### **Location:** **Taiganova Cresent, Fort McMurray, Alberta** ##### **Work Schedule:** **5 days on, 2 days off; 8-hour day shifts** ##### **What’s in it for me?** - **Competitive Compensation:** Enjoy a competitive wage and overtime (if available). - **RRSP Contribution Matching Program:** Start shaping your future with immediate enrollment of Acden's matching program. - **Employee and Family Assistance Program:** We care about your well-being. - **Training and Development:** Access our fund program to enhance your skills**.** - **Community Engagement:** Participate in Acden’s various community, family- oriented, and holiday events. - **Comprehensive Benefits:** Immediate enrollment in our group benefits plan, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, and life insurance. - **Employee Perks:** Enjoy discounts provided by Acden and Perkopolis. - **Work/Life Balance:** Our flexible schedule allows you to maintain a healthy balance between work and life. **What I will be doing?** - Audit completed work orders, and ensure all technicians complete paperwork accurately as per Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance standards - Ensure all work orders are billed accurately as per Acden Mechanical Repair & maintenance standards - Uphold and communicate conduct standards and operational expectations to employees - Initiate and deliver corrective action; related but not limited to conduct, performance, safety, and attendance standards as set forth by Acden Corporate Policies - Review job description with all new hires and when deemed necessary with existing employees - Manage, develop, and support all levels of staff - Implement and maintain policies, processes, procedures and systems of operations with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and efficiency - Establish and maintain successful working relationships with clients and partners - Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory procedures and guidelines - Responsible for ensuring work performed is conducted in accordance to industry and OH&S standards - Enforce and instill a safety culture in all aspects of the business - Collaborate with leadership on special projects, business opportunities, and other prospect - Perform other duties as assigned in support of delivering full services of Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance LP - Perform interim duties in General Manager’s absence **What does Acden need from me?** - Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification - Dual ticket preferred, RSE Heavy Equipment & Automotive Service Technician - 3 to 5 years’ experience in senior managerial roles - Valid Class 5 operator’s license with a clean abstract - Have a “safety-first” attitude - Strong computer skills including Maintenance Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite ##### **What are the "nice to haves"?** ***(add assets/preferences)*** - Class 1 or Class 3 Licence with Air Brakes is preferred - Duel Ticketed AST/HET Journeyperson is preferred Acden is 100% community-owned by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
