**Job Description**
Join a leading manufacturing company specializing in ducts and venting systems for residential and commercial buildings. As a General Laborer, you will perform various tasks throughout the plant, working with different machines and tools to form metals. You may also assist in the cable assembly department and packaging. Each day, you''ll receive a new work order to fulfill customer demands, requiring the ability to read and follow instructions accurately. Be prepared to handle pieces weighing up to 50 lbs.
**Responsibilities**
Operate machines to press, bend, or weld metal.
Perform precision fabrication tasks.
Rotate into the cable assembly department as needed.
Assist with packaging products.
Follow daily work orders to complete tasks efficiently.
**Essential Skills**
Experience in manufacturing.
Proficiency in measuring using the imperial system.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in a unionized environment.
Capability to work in a loud, industrial setting.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a loud production facility that can reach up to 40 degrees during the summer months. It is a well-lit industrial setting with a lunchroom and vending machine available. The dress code prohibits shorts, hats, and loose-fitting clothing for safety reasons. The first shift operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Etobicoke, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.81 - $19.81/hr.
