<p>Summary:</p><p>Zac Mathews & Associates Inc is a Mississauga based boutique bookkeeping, tax and financial consulting firm serving clients in the GTA for over 45 years. The key values which are the cornerstone of Zac Mathews & Associates, include integrity, trust, ingenuity, and respect.</p><p>The Opportunity:</p><p>We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Canadian experience to manage full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance for multiple clients. This is a hands-on, onsite role where you'll use your advanced QuickBooks expertise to deliver accurate, timely results and build trusted client relationships within a collaborative team.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Full cycle bookkeeping for the clients</li><li>Handle month-end and year-end bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and reporting for multiple companies at a time</li><li>Preparation of periodic tax compliance and information filings including Source deductions, T4, T5, T5018, EHT, HST and WSIB</li><li>Correspondence with CRA regarding corporate, personal, payroll, and sales tax issues</li><li>Record and track day-to-day client transactions using QuickBooks (Desktop & Online)</li><li>Reconcile client transactions, inter-company transactions, bank details, credit card transactions and taxes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis</li><li>Manage client's payroll in a timely manner including preparation and filling of ROE</li><li>Own all aspects of the client relationship, including communicating and responding to the clients in a timely manner</li></ul><p>Skills/Knowledge/Education:</p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online</li><li>5+ years Canadian work experience in bookkeeping or related field</li><li>College diploma or equivalent; Accounting or Finance program/degree preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of payroll processes (T4, WSIB, HST, EHT, ROE); Payworks experience an asset</li><li>Familiarity with the Canadian tax framework an asset</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul><p>Please note that this is an office-based position with an office dog on-site.</p><p>What's in it for YOU?</p><ul><li>Competitive salary and bonus structure.</li><li>Engaging and collaborative work environment.</li><li>Access to professional development.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
