The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Technologist (Interior Design) to join our Interior Design team in the Edmonton office. We deliver exciting interior design projects to a diverse base of clients. Kasian is looking for someone who shares this passion and brings a strong base of technical knowledge on interior spaces.
Here's what you’ll be doing at Kasian:
- Prepare and review Feasibility, Schematic Design and Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications
- Prepare and review Contract Documents (CD) and specifications
- Ensure coordination of consultant documentation for project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule of finished drawing packages through coordination with team members and consultants
- Prepare tender documents
- Assemble, circulate, and file project documents
- Participate in production meetings with the project team, consultants, and client representatives
- Perform Quality Control procedures
- Perform building code analysis
- Perform Contract Administration (CA) duties and/ or support the CA process
Here’s what you bring to Kasian:
- Architectural Technology or Interior Design Technology Diploma and 2+ years of experience in Design Development Drawings and Contract Documents
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit experience an asset
- Expert knowledge of and experience with building codes, interior design, and construction processes
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Expert problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
