We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Account Manager with strong experience in metal component manufacturing. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between our clients and our suppliers, ensuring successful delivery of our customers' products. You will oversee technical support from the RFQ (Request for Quote) to PO (Purchase Order) stage, manage client relationships, provide technical expertise, and ensure products meet quality standards and project timelines. Experience working in a global manufacturing environment will be beneficial for streamlining operations and managing international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support from RFQ to PO Stage:

·         Review RFQ packages for technical risk (materials, processes, tolerances) and completeness (drawings, reference standards, subcomponents, paint specs, etc.).

·         Recommend suppliers based on technical capabilities.

·         Compile supporting materials for RFQs to send to suppliers.

·         Interface with customers to answer any technical questions suppliers may have to prepare quotes.

·         Collaborate with customers and suppliers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) as needed.

·         Review supplier quotes for accuracy and alignment with customer needs.

·         After the PO is issued, coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure successful first sample production.

·         Review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and inspect first samples.

·         Interface with customers regarding samples and resolve any issues that arise with samples.

Client and Supplier Relationship Management:

·         Act as the primary point of contact between clients and suppliers, ensuring technical requirements and expectations are clearly communicated and met.

·         Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their technical needs, and with suppliers, ensuring timely and quality product delivery.

Project Oversight:

·         Oversee product development from ideation to production, ensuring the timely delivery of products that meet client requirements.

·         Track project milestones, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful outcomes.

Technical Expertise:

·         Provide technical support to clients, addressing complex issues related to product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

·         Work closely with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and optimize solutions for customer needs.

Collaboration and Coordination:

·         Coordinate with internal teams to address production challenges, optimize processes, and implement cost-effective solutions.

·         Ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

·         Oversee quality and product development support specialists

Overseas Manufacturing and Procurement:

·         Collaborate with overseas manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure products are sourced and produced according to client specifications and deadlines.

·         Assist with procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Production and Quality Support:

·         Provide support when production quality issues arise, working closely with the quality team as needed to resolve issues and ensure product standards are met.

·         Assist the quality team with any quality-related tasks to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

·         Identify areas for improvement in the product development and delivery process, implementing changes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

·         15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, bonus points if in global manufacturing environment

·         Strong technical background with expertise in manufacturing processes, engineering, and product design.

·         Proven ability to manage client relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver technical solutions.

·         Experience with overseas manufacturing, sourcing, or procurement, especially in global supply chains.

·         Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

·         Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to work across multiple teams.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
