Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or significant relevant experience
  • 5 years of technology experience
  • Direct team leadership experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
  • Solid communication, client service, time management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and software systems
  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies

Job Summary

As the Team Leader of Software Development, you will lead a variety of subject matter experts within a cross-functional team. You will lead a specific team to support and maintain existing applications and the development of new technical solutions.

The primary location of this role is in Windsor, Ontario. By applying to this position, you’ll have an opportunity to share your preferred working location with your recruiter. Relocation assistance to Windsor, Ontario may be available.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with teams of focus
  • Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
  • Accomplish results by communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Maintain the team by recruiting, selecting, training, and overseeing team members
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies
