The successful candidate will work alongside Husky Midstream (HMGP) Reliability and Maintenance Specialists to support various projects and tasks. The candidate will focus on providing equipment related solutions and developing methods for improving the equipment life-cycle. This is a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment functionality and purpose.

Responsibilities

  1. Work in collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering to provide technical solutions for optimization and cost savings
  2. Provide recommendations to enhance availability and reliability of mechanical and electrical assets
  3. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for Reliability and Maintenance
  4. Provide technical support for preventative and condition-based maintenance programs
  5. Perform equipment bad actor analysis
  6. Support the Reliability and Maintenance Specialists with various projects and task as required

Qualifications


Familiarity with industrial rotating and stationary equipment gained through experience or post-secondary education
Exposure to engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, electrical single line drawings and/or shut down keys would be an asset
Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to research and present ideas
Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in September 2024



This role requires driving, and will require you to have a valid class 5 driver’s license and provide an acceptable driver’s abstract.

Education

Must be enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term
You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.


Note: Candidates must have their own means of transportation as there is no public transportation in Lloydminster.

Working Conditions

May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.


Safety Sensitive: This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
