This Position is Hybrid: it will require 3 to 4 days per week in the Toronto office
Qualifications
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
Professional Engineer designation with a background in reinforced-concrete and steel building structures with an understanding of constructability.
A broad knowledge of commercial and industrial buildings.
Minimum 5 years of concrete repair and design experience.
Previous project management experience
Good report writing and computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently
Duties and Responsibilities
The evaluation, assessment and restoration design work of existing residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Manage projects and clients from the conceptual design phase to final completion, including administering contracts under construction.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures for all deliverables, specifically the construction drawings and specifications as they relate to building structures.
Produce detailed technical reports and letters describing on site field observations with engineering recommendations and construction cost estimates.
Assist with preparing client proposals.
Assisting field staff and various team members with project execution during all project phases.
Assist with mentoring and training of junior staff.
Fluency in English
Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD or Revit
A positive attitude and good work ethic
Posses a valid driver’s licence and has access to a vehicle
Willing to travel/work remotely, as required
