Job Description
Royal Stone Gallery is one of the largest countertop fabricator in the Halton Region. Located in the heart of Burlington, we provide our services to all across southern Ontario. The team has over 20 years of experience in fabricating natural (granite and marble) and man-made (quartz) stones. We fabricate according to the customer's needs for kitchen counter tops, vanity tops, wall panels, back splash, fireplace surrounds, shower niche, and shower jambs. Location: Hamilton Niagara Peninsula Region, Ontario
Hours per week: Approximately 35 hours
Salary: $36.50 per hour (equivalent to $66,430 per year)
Benefits: two-week paid vacation and paid sick leave (up to five days per year) and holidays

Job Requirements
Languages:
Intermediate English is preferred but basic proficiency is acceptable as Stone Countertop Installers work in team-setting and team lead will communicate with clients
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is not essential for the job but a preferred asset for performing the job
Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or relevant experience in stone countertop fabrication and installation
Experience:
At least one year of experience in Ontario in stone countertop fabrication and installation.
Work site environment:
Residential and commercial job sites
May involve working at heights, dusty environments, and physically demanding conditions
Safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
Work setting:
Installation and service work in residential and commercial buildings
On-site and client premises across Ontario, areas mostly visited are Huntsville Peterborough, Hamilton Niagara Peninsula region and Greater Toronto Area
Some travel required between project locations and employment location
Tasks and Responsibilities
Measure, cut, fit, and install granite, quartz, marble, and other stone countertops and backsplashes according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and specifications to determine the materials, methods, and sequence of installation.
Prepare installation areas by removing existing surfaces, leveling, and ensuring structural readiness.
Cut, shape, polish, and finish stone materials using hand and power tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and polishers.
Handle, transport, and position heavy countertop slabs safely with lifting aids and teamwork.
Install support structures, anchors, and sealing materials to ensure a stable and professional finish.
Inspect completed installations to verify proper alignment, secure attachment, and surface quality.
Service, repair, and replace existing countertops in residential and commercial environments.
Communicate with clients, contractors, and supervisors to coordinate installation timelines and resolve site issues.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good working condition and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

Physically demanding; ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, kneeling, and handling tools for extended periods

Compensation: $36.50 per hour
