In this pivotal role, you will strategically partner with the DC General Manager to drive critical HR initiatives and elevate our HR processes. As a key member of the inaugural leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive HR strategy that directly contributes to our vision of creating a world-class supply chain operation and fostering a truly Great Place to Work.</p><h3>What You\'ll Do</h3><ul><li><p>Proven influencer and collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support in all areas of Labour Relations and Human Resource Management to business clients</p></li><li><p>Practices effective relationship management to elevate working relationships with internal client groups, including managers, senior leaders, and employees</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the core HR competencies including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employment law, organizational development, talent development and training, mentoring/coaching/facilitation, recruitment and workforce planning and an overall understanding of HR policies and programs and other terms and conditions of employment, along with an understanding of HR best practices</p></li><li><p>Distinguished as a business partner who learns the business and takes an active interest in continually enhancing your business acumen</p></li><li><p>Proactively identify strategic issues and provide advice and expertise to help develop creative solutions</p></li><li><p>Developed skills in coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and change management</p></li><li><p>Valued for your agility and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously</p></li><li><p>Adaptability to rapidly changing demands</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Develops and implements HR-related projects and participates as a team member on special projects as needed</p></li><li><p>Recognized for your learning mindset, initiative, and ability to understand the business and challenges, and new and innovative approaches that result in improvements in team engagement, productivity, and organizational performance</p></li><li><p>Serves as a workforce champion and promotes a positive work environment and employee experience</p></li><li><p>Regarded as an exceptional communicator and able to influence a broad and diverse range of stakeholders through building effective relationships, verbal, and written communication</p></li></ul><h3>Does this Sound Like You?</h3><ul><li><p>A minimum of 4-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in distribution, transportation, manufacturing, large scale hospitality or retail.</p></li><li><p>An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for finding excitement in ambiguity. You thrive in environments that challenge you to solve problems creatively and build support with business leaders to execute your ideas and plans.</p></li><li><p>A genuine passion for working with operations teams. You are equally comfortable engaging with employees on the warehouse floor, meeting with night crew members, and leading meetings in an office setting.</p></li><li><p>Post-secondary education in Human Resources is required, and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or working towards the designation is highly desirable.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a strong attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>Outstanding interpersonal skills, including active listening and effective counseling abilities, demonstrated across all levels of an organization.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to build consensus and alignment while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.</p></li><li><p>Advanced recruitment skills with demonstrated experience and a track record of successfully sourcing and attracting high-caliber candidates.</p></li><li><p>A proven ability to solve complex problems using creativity, independent judgment, and analytical thinking.</p></li><li><p>Thorough understanding of employment law, particularly within the province of Ontario.</p></li><li><p>A confident, professional, and energetic individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.</p></li></ul><p>Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
