*Niagara Children’s Centre* is recognized throughout the Niagara Region as the provider of rehabilitation and support services to over 5,800 children and youth with physical, developmental and communicative delays and disabilities each year. Core services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language services, augmentative and alternative communication, family services and therapeutic recreation. Our family centered programs aim at helping each child achieve their own unique potential within their home, school and in the community.

*What will you be doing?*
The Speech-Language Pathologist works to assess, identify, and treat communication difficulties in children in conjunction with parents and other caregivers to enhance quality of life and participation. Communication difficulties may be in one or more of the following areas: language (understanding others and expressing themselves); speech (sound development); fluency; voice/resonance; hearing (aural habilitation); need for augmentative and alternative communication; and pragmatics.
This position may be required to work with children and youth with a complex profile of needs to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity in the home, community or school.

*Does this sound like you?*
* Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
* Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
* Sound understanding of speech language therapy amongst children and youth
* Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families and other care providers both in-person and virtually through telepracticing
* Effectively educate children/youth, families and other care providers related to their specific needs, utilizing a variety of strategies and through a variety of mediums (group, individual, lectures, online, etc.)
* Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
* Bilingualism considered an asset
