<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><br /><b>Site Superintendent ICI construction<br />London <br />Vacation, benefits, Bonus, Company Vehicle <br />$110-$125k depending on experience </b><br><br><b>Overview:</b><br />The Site Superintendent is responsible for leading the on-site team throughout the entire duration of the project. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, consultants, and clients to foster a productive and safe work environment. The Superintendent oversees all field operations including budget adherence, scheduling, safety compliance, and performance metrics.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and manage the on-site construction team.</li><li>Implement and monitor project schedules, labor coordination, equipment use, and material control to optimize cost efficiency.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, trade unions, and labor representatives.</li><li>Enforce construction procedures, job site safety standards, and hazard analysis protocols.</li><li>Support various project phases by providing technical expertise and leadership.</li><li>Participate in subcontractor pre-qualification and selection.</li><li>Monitor subcontractor progress to ensure adherence to timelines.</li><li>Oversee site setup, including temporary utilities, major equipment procurement, and material logistics.</li><li>Collaborate with the procurement team on equipment selection and acquisition.</li><li>Contribute to the development and execution of detailed project plans and schedules.</li><li>Offer pre-tender support and trade package preparation.</li><li>Engage subcontractors in scheduling commitments and monitor milestone adherence.</li><li>Lead trade coordination meetings and ensure alignment with project flow.</li><li>Coordinate closely with Project Managers to maintain compliance with design specifications and contract requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with contractual obligations for specific project components.</li><li>Lead and support health and safety initiatives, including participation in safety committees and promoting site safety culture.</li><li>Monitor and coordinate the use of critical site equipment such as cranes and hoists.</li><li>Resolve field issues related to safety, scheduling, client relations, and construction logistics.</li><li>Contribute to staff development and training initiatives.</li><li>Assist in project closeout procedures, including inspections and punch list management.</li><li>Navigate local regulations, labor laws, and union requirements to support project execution.</li><li>Propose innovative construction solutions and support constructability planning.</li><li>Ensure field staff are knowledgeable about specifications, construction methods, and procedural guidelines.</li><li>Track and enhance productivity metrics aligned with project schedules and financial goals.</li></ul><b>Qualifications:</b><br /><b>Required:</b><ul><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction-related field.</li><li>5-7 years of experience ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction.</li><li>Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.</li><li>Current Health & Safety certifications.</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license.</li><li>Strong leadership in safety and team development.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, safety, and productivity.</li><li>Deep understanding of regulatory and code compliance, particularly for ICI construction.</li></ul><b>Preferred:</b><ul><li>Experience with Procore and Microsoft SharePoint.</li><li>Strong focus on quality assurance standards.</li><li>Proactive and results-oriented attitude.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead large, dynamic teams.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.</li></ul><b>What&#39;s Offered:</b><ul><li>Competitive compensation package</li><li>Comprehensive health and dental benefits</li><li>Company-matched RRSP program</li><li>Employee and family assistance program</li><li>Generous vacation policy and personal days</li><li>Professional development support</li><li>Employee discount and wellness programs</li><li>Engaging company events and community involvement</li><li>Recognition initiatives and lunch & learn sessions</li></ul></p></p>
