About Cumulus Café

Cumulus Café is a cozy, community-focused café in Ancaster, Ontario. We are known for our friendly service, delicious baked goods, and welcoming atmosphere. Our menu includes a blend of classic café favourites and unique items, such as our signature Japanese cheesecake, which keeps customers returning for more. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Server/Cashier to join our team and help us continue to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Position: Server/Cashier

We seek a passionate and service-oriented Server/Cashier to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about customer service and ensuring every guest feels welcome and satisfied during their visit to Cumulus Café.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and assist customers with menu selections

• Accurately take food and beverage orders and serve coffee and pastries

• Process transactions using a POS system, handling cash and credit card payments

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

• Assist in restocking supplies to ensure smooth café operations

• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming attitude

• Proficient in handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy

• Familiarity with POS systems (experience preferred but not required)

• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Previous experience in food handling or service is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate
