| About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Operational Resiliency, the Vendor Risk Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring Payments Canada is appropriately managing the risk that vendors pose to the organization.
| What you’ll do
Responsibilities of the Senior Vendor Risk Management Specialist include:
- Maintain and lead the implementation of the Vendor Risk Management Framework to ensure that vendor risk is consistently managed across Payments Canada;
- Provide oversight and challenge to ensure that vendor risks and mitigations are being effectively managed;
- Develop and maintain a broad range of risk-related policies, guidelines, and frameworks;
- Support development & implementation of industry reporting process for OSFI Guideline B-10 – Third-Party Risk Management;
- Keep abreast of vendor risk developments and provide advice & challenge to business units across the organization;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization that support the Vendor Risk Management Framework (e.g. Procurement, Strategic Partnerships & Vendor Management, etc.);
- Demonstrate leadership skills on project teams as appropriate to provide risk management subject matter expertise.
| Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, or other related field;
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of recent experience in risk management with experience in vendor risk management;
- Minimum of five (5) years of relationship management experience;
- Knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices;
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
| Salary Range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $93,637and $117,046.
