Senior SAP FICO Consultant with Utilities

<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Our client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI-CO Consultant/contractor to join their team starting in August and will run for 1 year with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in FI-CO and gained previous Utilities industry experience to streamline financial processes, ensure compliance, and support business decision-making. This will be a hybrid position; however, there will definitely be travel to the client site needed, especially in the early stages of the implementation.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Configure and customize SAP FI-CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center, Profitability Analysis) in S/4HANA.</li><li>Lead or support end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and migrations (ECC → S/4HANA).</li><li>Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) and third-party systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize financial reporting.</li><li>Support month-end / year-end closing, financial audits, and tax reporting.</li><li>Collaborate with finance / accounting teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.</li><li>Train end-users and create documentation for FI-CO processes.</li><li>Stay updated on S/4HANA innovations (e.g., Fiori, Central Finance, AI-powered analytics).</li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>10+ years of experience in SAP FI-CO.</li><li>Experience in the Utilities industry.</li><li>Hybrid work arrangement with willingness to travel to client sites, especially during the early implementation phase.</li><li>Strong knowledge of SAP FI-CO integration with MM, SD, and PP.</li></ul></p>
