Job Description
Summary:
CSC is currently seeking a Security Test Engineer to work in the field of cryptographic module validation testing. Would you like to work with our security testing and certification laboratories group? This position supports CSC's Global Cybersecurity team, which is a global program providing information and infrastructure security. The duties required in this role include: exercising of test procedures, review of technical documentation and schematics, rendering test verdicts based on the FIPS 140-2 derived test requirements and contribution to test plans and reports.
Essential Job Functions
• Analysis of source code and documentation;
• Perform cryptographic algorithm testing, functional testing and physical testing on IT security products;
• Contribute to test reports; and
• Work closely with laboratory management, clients, government bodies and business partners to ensure standards compliance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field;
• Four or more years of IT experience;
• Knowledge of cryptography and related security protocols;
• Knowledge of C, C++ or Java;
• Knowledge of general IT security principles; and
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and pass a security clearance
• Knowledge of the FIPS 140-2 standard preferred
• Willingness to travel
