Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of our Finance team, this leadership role within the Canadian finance team focuses on driving value through Supply Finance and supporting key controllership activities. You will oversee financial aspects across procurement-related spend, vendor funding, costing, accruals, and supply chain analytics. You will serve as a finance partner to Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial leaders, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and insightful decision-making. Additionally, you will support broader financial governance, risk management, and audit readiness in partnership with the Controllership team. Strong analytical, operational, and leadership capabilities are essential to drive performance and value creation.

Leads Supply Finance Operations:

  • Oversees the Supply Finance function, implementing processes to manage accruals, data integration from vendors, and accounts receivable.
  • Manages financial planning, analysis, and reporting for supply chain functions, collaborating with Procurement and Commercial Finance teams on vendor programs, inbound costing, logistics accruals, and COGS elements.

Leads Vendor Finance Strategy & Partnership:

  • Develops strategic finance frameworks for vendor partnerships, optimizing vendor terms and funding, and aligning negotiations with business goals.
  • Works with Procurement and BP&A teams to optimize Vendor Discount Agreements (VDAs) and improve vendor relationships through data-driven decisions.

Leads Supply Finance Advanced Forecasting & Analytics:

  • Drives forecasting and analytics for supply spend and rebates, leading monthly reviews and scenario planning using data models.
  • Adopts advanced analytics and forecasting techniques, utilizing big data and machine learning to optimize spend planning and improve decision-making.

Supports Controllership & Financial Governance:

  • Ensures governance over inventory, accounts payable, and accruals related to supply chain and vendors, maintaining compliance and supporting audits.

Manages/Leads and Facilitates Development / Performs Cross-functional Finance Leadership:

  • Acts as a financial business partner across functions, delivering insights and recommendations.
  • Leads a team of analysts or finance professionals, fostering collaboration and high performance, mentoring team members.

Contributes to Projects & Transformation:

  • Participates in finance transformation initiatives like automation, ERP improvements, and process enhancements. Supports projects like new product launches and cost restructuring.

Health, Safety, and Risk Management

  • Adheres to safety policies and leads by example, ensuring team safety and completing required training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA required, or equivalent experience (8+ years).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5 years in supply chain finance or cost accounting.
  • Experience with vendor funding, inventory costing, FP&A, and commercial finance preferred.
  • Leadership experience managing teams or projects with cross-functional exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage complexity, and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in process improvement and working in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Fluent in English and French is a significant asset.
