<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>The Senior Equipment Integration Engineer will join the Engineering Management practice within the Technical Professional Organization (TPO) of Engineering Services Canada. He will play a lead role in the delivery of Engineering Services on large and complex projects within the Defence market portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Operations of the Engineering Management practice, the Senior Equipment Integration Engineer will provide advanced technical leadership in the design, evaluation, and lifecycle management of military equipment and systems. He will support the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and defence partners by ensuring operational readiness, safety, and innovation in equipment engineering. Location: National (Canada).</p><p><b>Language note:</b> The position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with leadership beyond Québec.</p><h3>Your role within the team</h3><ul><li>Technical Expertise: Lead engineering assessments, design reviews, and performance evaluations of military equipment including vehicles, weapons systems, sensors, and support equipment.</li><li>Lifecycle Management: Oversee the acquisition, integration, maintenance, and disposal of defence equipment in accordance with DND policies and NATO standards.</li><li>Engineering Support: Provide expert input on equipment specifications, testing protocols, and failure analysis.</li><li>Project Leadership: Manage multidisciplinary teams on equipment modernization and sustainment projects.</li><li>Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with Canadian defence regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.</li><li>Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with DND, CAF, OEMs, and allied defence organizations to align engineering solutions with mission needs.</li></ul><h3>Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer?</h3><p><b>Because we offer:</b></p><ul><li>The opportunity to work on major projects for internal and external clients.</li><li>An environment where work-life balance is supported.</li><li>A wide array of learning and development opportunities.</li><li>Competitive pay, flexible benefits, an employee share plan, and a defined contribution pension plan.</li><li>A work environment focused on health and safety.</li></ul><h3>The ideal candidate</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.</li><li>15 years of experience in equipment engineering, with at least 10 years in a defence or military context.</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.</li><li>Experience with defence procurement, equipment trials, and technical risk assessments.</li><li>Eligible for Secret (Level II) or Top Secret (Level III) security clearance.</li><li>Familiarity with Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTOs), NATO STANAGs, and DND engineering frameworks.</li><li>Experience with digital engineering tools (e.g., CAD, PLM, FEA).</li><li>Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.</li></ul><p>This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.</p><p>Are you up for this challenge?
