Job Description:
You will be a core member of the funds finance team responsible for accurate, timely NAV and investor reporting, supporting capital activity, audits and tax deliverables, valuations, and continuous improvement of processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly/quarterly NAV packages, including valuations, accruals, and fee calculations.
Draft quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, coordinating with fund administrators and auditors.
Manage capital activity (subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions).
Maintain investor registers, process allocations, and reconcile cash/positions.
Support asset valuation processes with data packs and variance analyses.
Prepare fund-level budgets and forecasts; monitor expenses and fee true-ups.
Lead audit and tax processes, including PBC compilation and liaison with external advisors.
Develop SOPs, checklists, and internal controls; contribute to automation initiatives.
Work closely with capital markets and investor relations teams on reporting and ad hoc data requests.

Job Requirements:
3+ years of progressive fund accounting experience within private equity/alternative investments OR if Assistant Controller, need 5–7+ years of fund accounting and reporting experience in private equity/alternatives, including review responsibilities and oversight of junior staff or administrators.
Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance; CPA in progress or completed preferred.
Hands-on NAV experience, investor allocations/series, subscriptions & redemptions, capital calls/distributions, and fee/waterfall mechanics.
Great attention to detail, a self-starter and a problem solver.
Strong Excel skills; experience with Yardi or similar platforms is an asset.
Detail orientation with a control mindset; able to manage multiple deadlines and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
