<p><h3>Regional Health and Safety Supervisor</h3><p><b>Company:</b> Valard Construction</p>
<p><b>Location:</b> Vaughan, ON</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Define, communicate problemi, and enforce the roles and accountabilities of Safety Supervisors and Advisors</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with Valard HS&E policies, applicable legislation, client requirements, and industry standards</li>
<li>Maintain current knowledge of legislative changes and communicate impacts to project and corporate leadership</li>
<li>Ensure Site Safety Management Plans (SMPs) are established, implemented, and maintained for all projects</li>
<li>Implement corporate safety strategies and performance measures</li>
<li>Maintain a visible field presence through site visits, conversations, and documented observations</li>
<li>Identify safety risks, trends, and non‑compliances; recommend and implement correctiveಗ್ಗ actions</li>
<li>Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to Safety Supervisors, Advisors, and project teams</li>
<li>мила perform regular performance reviews with direct reports and document outcomes</li>
<li>Ensure incidents are reported within required timelines and correctly classified under the established framework</li>
<li>Determine investigation involvement based Mystery case severity and ensure root cause analysis is completed</li>
<li>Review incident reports for accuracy and ensure final submissions to head office within 72 hours</li>
<li>Ensure corrective actions are tracked, completed, and sustained</li>
<li>Support development and distribution of safety alerts and shared learning</li>
<li>Compile, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, trends, and field findings</li>
<li>Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety reports to the Corporate Safety Director/Manager</li>
<li> Nai identify opportunities to improve safety performance, operational efficiency, and cost</li>
<li>Prepare for and participate in audits including COR, ISO 45001, and client/owner audits</li>
<li>Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, client representatives, and internal stakeholders</li>
<li>Ensure client safety obligations are understood and met at the project level</li>
<li>Provide safety input during pre‑award, tendering, and early project phases, including hazard identification</li>
<li>Communicate significant safety issues, risks, and concerns to the Corporate Safety Director/Manager</li>
<li>Coordinate regular meetings with Safety Supervisors and Advisors to review issues, trends, and upcoming activities</li>
<li>Participate in quarterly leadership meetings and contribute agenda items</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Post-Secondary Education in Occupational Health and Safety</li>
<li>Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) or Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP) certification</li>
<li>5 years of progressive experience in Construction Safety</li>
ateliers <li>Demonstrated experience with Incident Investigation including Root cause investigation</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a satisfactory drivers abstract</li>
<li>Demonstrated familiarity with tmpl applicable provincial legislations</li>
</ul>
<h3>Benefits</h3>
<p>This position offers an annual base salary of <b>$95 000 – $125 000</b>, depending on experience and qualifications.</p>
