We're united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.</em><br>Position Overview<br>Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS POSITION IS COMPRISED OF DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING CT/MRI/Angiography. NURSES WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK IN ALL GEOGRAPHIC AREAS.</p><p>Note: Please be advised that there are staggered start and finish times for day and evening shifts on this unit: Day shifts are between the hours of 0700 and Evening shifts are between the hours of 1415 and There are also standby on call shifts on this unit.</p><p>Experience</p><ul><li>Two (2) years recent Medical and/or Surgical and/or ICU and/or Emergency and/or Operating Room nursing experience required.</li><li>Minimum two (2) years recent nursing experience with EKG and pressure monitoring required.</li><li>Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.</li></ul><p>Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)</p><ul><li>Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.</li></ul><p>Certification/Licensure/Registration</p><ul><li>Current CRNM registration required.</li><li>Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.</li><li>Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.</li><li>Must have no contraindications that would limit the ability to perform in a magnetic field (e.g. Pacemaker, middle ear prosthesis, etc.). For more information call the staffing office.</li><li>Adult Conscious Sedation/Procedural Sedation Education must be obtained when the opportunity is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.</li></ul><p>Qualifications And Skills</p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability in establishing an I.V. required.</li><li>Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).</li><li>If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.</li></ul><p><em>St. Boniface Hospital is committed to empowering a workforce that welcomes and celebrates diversity by fostering culturally safe places for all employees.
