This position requires strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills to maintain solid partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.</p><p>The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities, resolve issues, and represent Stanpro with professionalism and technical expertise.</p><p>Please note that the ideal candidate must be <strong>based out of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)</strong>.</p><p></p><p><p><strong>Your main responsibilities will be the following: </strong></p></p><ul><li>Establish and maintain solid business relationships with customers by providing professional, comprehensive, and timely responses to quotation requests.</li><li>Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to prepare accurate quotations.</li><li>Review bills of materials and select appropriate products for proposals or projects.</li><li>Collaborate with the Specification Team and Sales Representatives to ensure approval or acceptance of alternative products when required.</li><li>Provide delivery timelines and suggest alternative solutions to meet customer expectations.</li><li>Work closely with Sales Representatives and Regional Sales Managers to apply effective pricing strategies and distributor programs based on market conditions.</li><li>Negotiate pricing to secure projects and coordinate with the Quotation Manager as necessary.</li><li>Follow up on outstanding projects using internal tools (e.g., ZJOB) to maximize conversion and project success.</li><li>Track and report progress, win/loss ratios, and key customer insights.</li><li>Maintain thorough communication between customers, the quotes team, and other departments regarding pricing, missed opportunities, and market trends.</li><li>Keep accurate records of interactions and transactions in SAP/LOGS.</li><li>Report on market intelligence, competitor activities, and unable-to-quote (UTQ) data.</li><li>Collaborate with Inside Sales and other departments to ensure exceptional customer service.</li><li>Participate in sales meetings, marketing initiatives, and training sessions.</li><li>Travel periodically to visit key contractors and distributors to strengthen relationships, promote Stanpro products, and generate new business opportunities.</li><li>Perform any other related duties to support the team and maintain high service standards.</li></ul><p></p><p><p><strong>Required skills and qualifications</strong></p></p><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and lighting plans and specifications.</li><li>Customer-focused mindset—able to identify needs and propose effective solutions.</li><li>Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills.</li><li>Excellent prioritization, time management, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and results-driven attitude.</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail and a team-oriented approach.</li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>College diploma in business administration, sales, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy.</li><li>Bilingualism (French & English) required, both written and spoken.</li><li>Knowledge of lighting systems and SAP considered assets.</li><li>IES certification is considered an asset.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
