The Chinook School Division is seeking a dynamic, student-focused leader to be Principal of Success School beginning August 27, 2024. Success School is a K-8 school with 55 students and 5 teachers.



The Chinook School Division is proud to serve nearly 6,000 students in 60 schools, with over 1,000 collegial and student-centered teachers and support staff. We are a vibrant and progressive school division located within Saskatchewan’s great Southwest. Our Division is committed to our guiding principles; Communication, Shared Responsibility, Positive Relationships and Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement. Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following qualifications:

High degree of discretion and personal integrity with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

A Bachelor of Education degree is a minimum requirement.


Graduate level education would be considered an asset with specific training in areas such as supervision of instruction, program and curriculum development and administration.

Knowledge and experience in educational leadership, professional learning communities, assessment, effective schools research and application to the work of school-based administration.


Demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to working as a member of the school division’s educational leadership team.

Demonstrated ability to be a problem solver and to work collaboratively with others.


Demonstrated knowledge of current educational trends, methods and use of technology to enhance instruction.

Demonstrated ability to create a school timetable and an ability to program to meet the needs of students.


Demonstrated skills in community involvement and public relations including the ability to work cooperatively with parents, professionals and community service agencies.

Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience would be an asset.


A sound understanding of a rural educational setting would be an asset.

Knowledge of Balanced Literacy and Guided Math would be an asset.
