*Pharmacy Operations Manager, Atlantic Canada*

*Job Description:*


Care Pharmacies, owner of multiple independent pharmacies across Canada is looking for an exceptional Registered Pharmacy Technician to directly support the operations team to oversee all day-to-day pharmacy operations of locations in Atlantic Canada (majority of current locations are in Halifax Municipality). Responsible for supporting all pharmacy operations, the ideal candidate would be a strong leader with an emphasis on team building, managing change, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and equipment to maximize patient care, staff happiness and dispensary productivity.

Strong communication skills are necessary as well as working proactively and independently.

*What You’ll Do:*


-Overall accountability for the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy departments at various independent banner locations. This includes a consistent schedule of store visits.

-Work with the Pharmacy Managers to implement operational procedures to ensure optimal patient care, efficiencies and regulatory requirements are met.


-Assist in training on billing and pharmacy software, predominately Kroll

-Problem solve and troubleshoot to completion any issues that come up on a day-to-day basis, this may involve working in a technical verification capacity as needed.


-Recommend, implement, and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process, and best practices.

-Collaborate with front store and other internal groups to support client care.


*Leadership duties:*

-Provide effective leadership around managing and implementing change and consistently meet or exceed performance objectives.


-Ability to delegate responsibility and create a culture of teamwork, to promote continuous improvement and open communication where all employees become more engaged.

-Positively communicate business processes, vision and strategy to all employees and be seen and act as a leader.


-Support conducting annual performance appraisals and wage reviews in consultation with the management team.

-Assist managers to determine staff requirements and assist in hiring for all roles


-Ensure staff understand and adhere to company policies and, if necessary, take appropriate action for any violations.

*What You’ll Need:*


-Active Nova Scotia Pharmacy technician license in good standing

-Previous Management experience within operations


-Pharmacy automation experience, specifically PacMed/VBM is a definite asset with extensive automation throughout our group and multiple central fill locations.

-Kroll experience is required


-Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills, including experience building, developing and motivating high-quality teams

-Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity; ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment


-Strong relationship building capabilities and capacity to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment

-Flexibility regarding availability in overall work schedule as issues are dealt with on an ongoing basis as they come up


-Ability to travel to all Atlantic Canada locations

-Effective written and verbal communication skills


-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

-Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
