<p>Description</p><p>Join the Armour Team Today </p><p>Position Overview: The PM Terminal Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of the Dartmouth Terminal to ensure the efficient movement of equipment and freight. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to foster a cohesive team environment. The PM Terminal Operations Manager ensures that all performance, quality, and safety standards are consistently met while maintaining a focus on cost efficiency and customer satisfaction. </p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Collaborate with all departments and terminals to eliminate barriers in the movement of equipment and freight, optimizing usage and minimizing costs.</li><li>Supervise the nightly operations of the Dartmouth Terminal, ensuring performance, quality, and service standards are met. Duties include monitoring dock cleanliness, ensuring orders are ready for delivery, and reviewing equipment needs to meet customer requirements.</li><li>Manage employee relationships and performance within the terminal, fostering an environment of trust, open communication, and accountability.</li><li>Prepare and analyze reports on performance, freight damage, accidents and injuries, customers, and employees to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.</li><li>Work with the Director of Terminal Operations for Nova Scotia and Dispatch to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on volume trends and customer demand.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety, training, and regulatory requirements, as well as adherence to organizational standards, processes, and policies.</li></ul><p>What We're Looking For<br><br>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Proven ability to build and sustain a stable, trusting, and cohesive team environment.</li><li>Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.</li><li>Self-motivated with excellent analytical and decision-making skills.</li><li>Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse groups.</li><li>Skilled in analyzing situations, identifying problems or conflicts, and negotiating win-win solutions.</li><li>Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.</li></ul><p>Technical Skills:</p><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Experience with the Truck Mate system is considered an asset.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions</p><ul><li>Fast-paced terminal/office environment.</li><li>Schedule: Monday - Friday Nights with some flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and provide vacation coverage.</li><li>High volume of communication through email and phone.</li></ul><p>Education & Experience</p><ul><li>Minimum five (5) years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education (e.g., CITT Supply Chain and Logistics Certification or other relevant college degree/industry certification).</li><li>Minimum two (2) years of experience in a terminal supervisor role.</li><li>Knowledge of the road transportation industry, including Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is considered an asset.</li></ul>
