As we expand our operations globally.</p><p><br /></p><p>Blackstone is hiring Millwrights across Canada, from first-year apprentice to Journeyman to take on field projects and maintenance jobs at customer sites across the country. This term position offers a varying work schedule based on project demands.</p><p><br /></p><p>As a valued member of our team, youll be expected to align with Blackstones culture of excellence, safety, and quality while bringing your expertise to every site you support.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.</li><li>Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repair or maintenance.</li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.</li><li>Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.</li><li>Maintaining an organized and safe workspace all the while completing all required documentation for assigned tasks.</li><li>Adhering to and promoting a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers.</li><li>Working within a team, and on occasion on your own depending on the task.</li><li>Being flexible to the urgent nature of our business, you may be asked periodically to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.</li><li>Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience with equipment overhauls.</li><li>Have thorough knowledge of compressors reciprocating and centrifugal, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and blowers.</li><li>Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong Hoisting & Rigging skills.</li><li>Proficient with aligning equipment (laser alignment tool) and measuring tools.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.</li><li>Troubleshooting failures & malfunctioning equipment.</li><li>Perform predictive and operational procedures.</li><li>Proficiency in using hand and power tools.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and precision.</li><li>Safety-conscious mindset.<br /></li><li>Be motivated, well organized, punctual, honest and willing to learn.</li><li>Have strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Be flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs, OT will be required when needed.</li><li>Comply with all company policies, company safety, quality and performance</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Education and Certifications</p><ul><li>Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program</li><li>Successful completion of our pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li><li>Have a valid class 5 drivers license</li><li>H2S, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and CSO safety tickets</li><li>O/H Crane, Rigging Safety, Fork Lift, Zoom Boom, First Aid, and SCBA courses are not mandatory but are assets.</li></ul></p></p>
