THE COMPANY

Our client, one of Canada’s largest REITs, with approximately 12 million square feet in retail properties under owner management across Canada, is looking to bring on a Manager of Security to join the team at a reputable enclosed shopping centre in South Edmonton. The position would report to the General Manager and be responsible for the management of a third-party security contract and subsequent team. You will benefit from a competitive salary plus bonus and immediate enrollment in their benefit & pension plan.


THE ROLE

As the Security Manager you will oversee and enhance the safety and security measures at the property through developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security programs that ensure the protection of shoppers, employees, and property. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and external security partners to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors.


WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Candidates who are strong communicators and preferably worked in a retail environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Police Foundations, Law & Security, Criminology or related field
  • Post secondary degree in law enforcement would be deemed a definite asset
  • Valid Security License
  • Ability to analyze and prepare analytics as it relates to security staffing, incidents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CPR/First Aid knowledge required
  • Verbal Judo would be considered an asset
  • Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT) an asset
  • Criminal background check clearance
