About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial facility in Taber AB .This role will oversee the daily activities of skilled trades, including millwrights, electricians , and other technicians, ensuring machinery and systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, schedule, and support a team of millwrights, electricians , and general maintenance staff.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a production environment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and local codes.
- Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance parts and supplies.
- Work closely with production and operations to minimize disruptions and prioritize repairs.
- Maintain maintenance logs, records, and equipment history using CMMS software.
- Provide training and development for trades team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3+5 years of Maintenance supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment .
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Engineering , Industrial Maintenance, or a related field;
- OR
- Red Seal Certification as a Millwright or Industrial Electrician .
- Proven leadership and team-building skills in a unionized site.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
