Job Description

Job Title: Brake Press Operator I

Location: Airdrie, AB

Pay rate: $22/hr.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, Fabrication, the Brake Press Operator I is responsible for spot welding, operating fabrication equipment (C6, SG, Brake Press), and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of assigned tasks. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mark orders as started or completed in the Digital Manufacturing Management (DMM) system.
• Set up and operate spot weld machines; weld parts and deliver them to appropriate stations.
• Perform periodic destructive tests to verify weld quality.
• Set up and operate fabrication machines such as C6, SG, and Brake Press.
• Ensure the long-term integrity and proper functioning of all equipment.
• Perform all job functions in compliance with Eaton’s Philosophy, Values, and Safety/Environmental standards.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand basic wiring schematic symbols.
• Experience with:
• Amada punch press
• Shear
• JFY machine
• Spot welding
• Prior experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
