Our client, a publicly traded mining company, located in downtown Vancouver, is seeking an experienced Legal Coordinator to join their dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of legal activities within a vibrant and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on laws, industry practices, and regulations, and summarize findings.
- Provide general administrative support, including drafting, editing, and proofreading documents, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence.
- Conduct searches using online filing systems such as BC OnLine and SEDAR
- Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and disclosure documents.
- Assist with policy compliance testing, training, and document preparation.
- Support transaction work, including managing data rooms and contract reviews.
- Maintain corporate policy databases and assist with updates.
- Contribute to team projects and handle other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of administration experience in a professional services industry
- Legal experience considered a strong asset
- Completed post-secondary degree or diploma
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work under high pressured environment
- Someone who is willing to go above and beyond
