We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director, IT Workforce Enablement to support the operations of workforce optimization. This role develops and implements strategies and programs to drive overall adoption of new ways of working, cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, and facilitates the implementation of sustainable EIT employee-centric programs in alignment to OLG’s culture and People and Culture programs..



YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Director IT Workforce Enablement, you will be empowered to:


Plan, execute, and monitor some of EIT’s workforce change management efforts, including placing diversity and inclusion as a priority, in collaboration with People and Culture.

Support the evolution of EIT’s culture as a part of the operating model transformation to successfully realize a product-oriented operating model.


Manage resource and workforce capabilities for EIT.

This includes working with EIT peer leaders to plan and manage resource utilization, productivity, and capacity to meet business demands, including optimizing variable capacity.

Manage the performance reporting and feedback of workforce enablement and performance optimization initiatives to monitor and improve workforce productivity and employee experience


Collaborate with People and Culture and IT leadership to proactively identify workforce needs and gaps and tailor strategies accordingly.

Initiate and manage internal and external partnerships in collaboration with stakeholders across OLG to enhance EIT’s workforce. This includes creating diverse learning and development opportunities and recruiting & staffing (permanent/temporary) channels while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.



Manage a usable and digestible database of skills and job ontologies mapped with EIT employees, facilitating the identification of skills and resources when needed.

Responsible for the development and on-going maintenance of a well-defined technology career development framework for EIT roles aligned with market needs, business needs, and People and Culture standards and policies.


Identify and develop sustainable continuous improvement talent initiatives, allowing employees to build a diverse set of skills and knowledge, in line with the needs outlined in the Technology Strategy.

Advocate for and drive the adoption of new ways of working, including agile skills and behavioral shifts from a learning and development perspective, in collaboration with Delivery Enablement.


Manage the operating budget for various initiatives led by the department.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY


Work Experience: • 10+ years of delivery experience in medium to large technology environments, with evidence of increasing collaborations with vendors and senior leadership • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder, change management and communications. • Experience in resource management and technology career framework development is preferred. • Experience with alternative sourcing options and efforts to optimize same across IT domains. • Previous experience in Scaled Agile or Lean Agile preferred. • Experience leading and mentoring teams across multiple technology domains preferred.


Education: • Post Secondary degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related field. • Advanced Scrum, Product Management, or Product Owner certification preferred. • Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies, values and principles. • Strong understanding of the IT lifecycle • Change Management Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification are considered assets for the role. • Experience using collaboration, issue tracking, and agile tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, aha)
