Position: Ironworker Journeypersons - Suncor Firebag - Capital Project Project Type: Maintenance Project Location: Fort McMurray Shift: Days Schedule: Straight Through; 12 hours/day Accommodations: Camp Travel Details: Flight In, Flight Out GC: Graham Allied Partner: Heartland Constructors Inc. Reference Number: 29424 **Jardeg is recruiting Journeyperson Ironworkers to join the SUNCOR Firebag maintenance team for a project on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta**. **Shift Rotation is straight through 12 hrs/day starting September 03rd until September 26th. Camp accommodations and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) provided by the company.** ****Required safety tickets and certain weld test costs** **will** **be covered.**** **Responsibilities:** - Erect and Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment. - Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures - Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process. **Minimum Requirements:** - CSO (Common Safety Orientation) - Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection - Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform - Energy Safety Canada Confined Space - Overhead Crane - Basic Rigging - WHMIS 2015 - H2S Awareness (if no ESC H2S Alive) – via Energy Safety Canada - Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness Basic via Energy Safety Canada - Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License-No restrictions - 3 year drivers abstract - Journeyperson Ticket or Apprenticeship card (must be in good standing) - Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test **COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY** With a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada.
