Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. With 18 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees and growing, we are looking for top talent to join our team.
The Inventory Control Administrator will focus on the preparation, submission and management of part orders, inventory and returns. This position is in our central Parts Distribution Centre (PDC).
We are looking to hire a full-time individual for our new PDC warehouse facility located at 7145 Kennedy Road, Mississauga, ON (near Derry Road East).
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Investigate, report, and resolve any inventory discrepancies
- Lead cycle count activities and ensure targets are met.
- Complete SAP administrative tasks daily, ensuring all processes are completed.
- Assist in maintaining the flow of goods for tenders.
- Monitor sales activity to determine and plan supply needs.
- Place purchase orders (PO) with suppliers for goods and services and communicate lead times with stakeholders.
- Manage open PO’s, following up with vendors on back orders and any issues.
- Create Warehouse Auto Ship Program (WASP) parts transfers for all locations.
- Create transfer orders from centralized purchases.
- Follow-up with suppliers for all delivery issues (short ships, damaged or missing items).
- Review Accounts Payable (AP) claims and assist in prompt invoice payments.
- Support warehouse staff as required to ensure flow of goods.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Post-secondary education preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, and/or business administration is an asset.
Competency in the following areas is required: customer service, administrative skills, time management, team building, and inventory management.
Proficiency with software and computers (Microsoft Office). Previous experience with SAP is an asset.
Must have intermediate ability with Microsoft Excel.
Must have solid interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
