Intern Architect
Salary: $60,000 – $78,000 + bonus
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

A well-established and respected Architecture and Design practice in Edmonton is seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join their growing team. This position offers a strong design-focused foundation while providing structured support to help you complete your experience requirements toward professional registration. The firm works across a diverse project portfolio and is known for thoughtful design and high standards of client service.

THE ROLE

Work alongside Senior Architects in the development of concept and schematic designs
Collaborate with architects, technologists, and designers to resolve design and technical challenges
Prepare detailed drawings and full construction documentation
Develop and assist with presentation materials and design proposals
Present design ideas and supporting drawings when required
Maintain positive, professional working relationships within the project team
Participate in project meetings to support coordination, scheduling, and technical problem-solving

You will primarily use Revit along with a variety of supporting design tools while contributing within a highly collaborative environment. This role suits someone with strong design sensibility, creativity, and the ability to generate thoughtful solutions.

Preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate professional experience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Recently graduated from a Canadian university or possess several years of Canadian experience as an Intern Architect
Eligible for registration with the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA), or already registered
Ideally 3–8 years of total experience, including at least 3 years working with Canadian building codes and bylaws
A genuine enthusiasm for architectural design
A strong portfolio demonstrating contemporary and sustainable design thinking
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines
A collaborative mindset and desire for long-term career growth
