We are client-focused and deliver practical, compassionate, and strategic advocacy in complex matters.</p><p><b>Role Overview</b></p><p>We are seeking a motivated Immigration Lawyer to join our team in a <b>remote, full-time</b> capacity. The ideal candidate has <b>2-5 years</b> of experience with a strong emphasis on <b>hands-on case work</b> and written/oral advocacy. You will independently manage a litigation-leaning caseload, moving matters from strategy to filing, hearing, and final disposition.</p><p><b>Core Focus Areas</b></p><ul><li><b>Federal Court Judicial Reviews</b> (leave and judicial review; drafting memoranda of argument; record review; Rule-compliant filings)</li><li><b>Spousal Sponsorships</b> (inside/outside Canada; PFL responses)</li><li><b>Humanitarian & Compassionate (H&C) Applications</b> (evidence development; best-interests analysis; hardship frameworks)</li><li><b>Immigration Appeals at the IAD</b> (sponsorship appeals, removal order appeals; disclosure management; witness preparation; hearing advocacy)</li><li><b>Rehabilitation & Criminal Inadmissibility</b> (individual rehabilitation, TRP strategies; mitigation packages)</li><li><b>Citizenship Revocation / Complex Citizenship Matters</b> (submissions, responses to notices, litigation support)</li><li><b>Express Entry & PNP Applications</b> (strategic assessment, profile setup, documentation, and submission)</li><li><b>Procedural Fairness Letters (PFLs)</b> (responses addressing admissibility, misrepresentation, and genuineness concerns)</li></ul><p><b>What You'll Do</b></p><ul><li>Lead files end-to-end across the focus areas above: legal assessment, strategy, evidence plans, drafting, filing, and advocacy.</li><li>Prepare persuasive written advocacy, including affidavits, memoranda of argument, notices of application/appeal, IAD disclosure and books of authorities, PFL and ADR responses, and detailed submission letters.</li><li>Develop evidentiary records: conduct ATIPs, obtain expert reports, marshal witness evidence, and build documentary briefs tailored to statutory and jurisprudential tests.</li><li>Manage timelines and procedural requirements for Federal Court, IRB/IAD, and IRCC, ensuring accuracy and compliance with rules and portals.</li><li>Communicate with clients regularly to gather evidence, prepare for hearings/interviews, and set expectations with clarity and empathy.</li><li>Stay current on legislative and policy developments; conduct targeted legal research to support evolving litigation strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with support staff to maintain organized, high-volume files with consistent quality control.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Member in good standing with the <b>Law Society of Ontario</b>.</li><li><b>2-5 years</b> of direct immigration law experience with demonstrable case-handling responsibility.</li><li>Proven experience in at least two of: Federal Court JR, IAD appeals, H&C applications, spousal sponsorship litigation/ADR, rehabilitation/inadmissibility, citizenship revocation, Express Entry, or PNP submissions.</li><li>Strong drafting skills and comfort with procedural rules (Federal Courts Rules, IAD Rules) and electronic filing/portals (IRCC, ESDC, IRB, Federal Court e-filing).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication in English; superior organization and file-management skills suitable for a high-volume practice with minimal supervision.</li><li>Assets: additional languages; prior oral advocacy at the IAD or case conferences; experience with PRRA, detention reviews, stays, or mandamus.</li></ul><p><b>Compensation & Schedule</b></p><ul><li><b>Job Type:</b> Permanent</li><li><b>Salary:</b> <b>$70,000-$130,000</b>, depending on experience</li><li><b>Schedule:</b> Fully Remote, Monday-Friday</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply</b></p><p>Please send your <b>cover letter</b> and <b>résumé</b> to .
