Our client, a premier provider of Managed and Professional IT Services, is looking for a Consultant to design, implement, and secure complex hybrid environments for their diverse business clientele. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on innovation and hands-on technical leadership across systems, network, and security domains. <b>If you have 3-5 years of experience in virtualization, network design, and hybrid cloud (Azure/M365), we want to hear from you!</b></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b> NOTE</b></p><p>If you meet the Must-Have requirements below please do feel free to forward your up-to-date CV directly to <b> </b>for consideration.</p><p>Due to high volumes, only those who are qualified and meet the qualifications listed, and have them clearly outlined and demonstrated on the CV will be contacted for next steps.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> Must-Have Qualifications (The Essentials)</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of <b>3-5 years</b> of hands-on ICT infrastructure design experience.</p><ul><li> <b>ICT Systems Architecture/Design:</b> 3-5+ years of experience designing secure, scalable infrastructure.</li><li> <b>Virtualization Expert:</b> 3-5+ years with <b>VMWare, KVM, and Hyper-V</b>.</li><li> <b>Networking Core:</b> Expertise in both wired and wireless network design, implementation, and management.</li><li> ️ <b>Security & Firewalls:</b> Experience managing firewalls and securing complex <b>Hybrid Environments</b> (On-prem/Cloud).</li><li> ️ <b>Cloud/Systems:</b> Strong administration skills in <b>MS Windows Server</b> and <b>M365/Azure</b> (2-3+ years).</li><li> <b>Linux:</b> Hands-on experience with Linux OS (2-3+ years).</li><li> ️ <b>Communication:</b> Excellent written and oral communication skills for stakeholder engagement.</li><li> <b>Requirement:</b> Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle (Travel is required).</li></ul><p><br></p><p> Role Responsibilities (What You'll Do)</p><p><br></p><p>The core responsibilities are split into four key areas:</p><ul><li><b>Design & Architecture:</b> Lead the development and maintenance of network, systems, and security architectures. Conduct risk assessments and translate business needs into technical blueprints.</li><li><b>Implementation & Support:</b> Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and ensure all security measures are tested and compliant.</li><li><b>Advisory & Collaboration:</b> Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for clients and internal teams, providing guidance and assisting with project proposals.</li><li><b>Research & Documentation:</b> Evaluate emerging technologies (POCs) and produce clear, detailed documentation for all implemented solutions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> Nice-to-Have Skills (A Bonus)</p><p><br></p><p>Candidates with the following skills will be highly prioritized:</p><ul><li><b>Public Cloud:</b> Experience with <b>AWS</b> (2-3+ years).</li><li><b>Automation:</b> Scripting skills (e.g., <b>Bash, Python, Shell, SQL</b>).</li><li><b>Certifications:</b> CCNA/CCNP or other relevant Security/Systems certifications.</li><li><b>Security Tools:</b> Familiarity with Vulnerability Scanning tools like <b>Tenable</b> or <b>Nessus</b>.</li><li><b>Networking Products:</b> Prior experience with <b>Aruba/Silverpeak</b>.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> Other Things to Note</p><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Work Environment:</b> Fast-paced, project-driven, and requires managing multiple simultaneous priorities.</li><li><b>Travel:</b> <b>Required</b> for client sites and implementations.</li><li><b>Hiring Process:</b> All offers are subject to an acceptable Criminal Record Check</li></ul><p></p>
