In this role, you will advise leaders and employees across a diverse client group, contributing directly to workforce planning, talent development, and employee experience initiatives. Our offerings could include:</p><ul><li>Employee ownership opportunities that build long-term value</li><li>Annual discretionary performance bonuses</li><li>Industry-leading medical, dental and vision benefits</li><li>Prescription drug coverage and telemedicine services</li><li>Life, AD&D and disability insurance</li><li>Paid parental leave and family care support</li><li>HSA or FSA for healthcare, dependent care and transportation</li><li>Mental health and wellness support, including Employee Assistance Programs</li><li>Career growth pathways, leadership development and mentorship programs</li><li>Access to world-class training through PCL’s College of Construction and professional development courses</li><li>Ongoing opportunities to learn new skills, explore different roles and grow your career across sectors and regions</li></ul><p><strong>Here's how aHR Advisor for the Ottawa District contributes to our PCL team</strong>:</p><p>Provide advice and guidance on HRPD programs, policies, practices, and compliance for designated client groups.</p><p>Actively participate in department HRPD planning and lead the design, execution, and evaluation of district-level initiatives.</p><p>Coach and train leaders and employees on career development, performance management, and growth strategies.</p><p>Advise supervisors on employee relations, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement, and workforce planning.</p><p>Conduct local market research for annual compensation reviews, manage calibration of salary, bonus processes, benefit administration and performance ratings for client groups.</p><p>Develop and implement recruitment plans with effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent, and successfully onboard new hires.</p><p>Build and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with district stakeholders to ensure HRPD solutions meet business needs.</p><p>Oversee training programs and student development strategies, maintaining partnerships with academic institutions to support talent pipelines.</p><ul><li>Provide on-site HR support to project teams as needed, including periodic travel to project locations and regional offices.</li></ul><h3><b>Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li>Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline (preferred).</li><li>Working towards an HR designation (preferred).</li><li>Minimum 5 years of progressive human resources experience (preferred).</li><li>Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.</li></ul>Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a highly matrixed organization.</li><li>Skilled in mentoring and coaching entry-level HR professionals.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.</li><li>Strong networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR relationships accross the organization.</li><li>Proven ability to apply critical thinking to resolve complex HR issues and support business objectives.</li></ul><p>The estimated salary range for this role is $85,935.00 - $111,210.00, based on your experience and qualifications.
