**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in assembling high-quality lighting units by reading and interpreting production drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs. You will be responsible for following work orders, pick lists, and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
**Responsibilities**
Read and interpret production drawings (DWG), wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs to perform accurate and efficient assembly.
Follow work orders, pick lists, and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
Position and align parts using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices as specified in the documentation.
Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment to bolt, rivet, solder, press-fit, or fasten components.
Mount and install components such as PCBs, addressing boards, power outlets, capacitors, lenses, reflectors, switches, and other hardware onto lighting units.
Connect internal wiring and route cables according to wiring diagrams, using proper crimping and soldering techniques.
Perform basic troubleshooting and fault-finding on assemblies when components do not function as expected.
Inspect assemblies for proper function, secure connections, and adherence to specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Collaborate with team members and communicate issues with supervisors or quality staff promptly.
Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency, ensuring high-quality results.
Lift and move parts or assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
**Essential Skills**
6 months of electrical/electronic experience.
6 months of mechanical experience.
Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Work Environment**
Join a team of 23 people on the floor, working in a setting previously hosting 50+ individuals. Engage in diverse areas like Light Manufacturing Room for lighter lifting tasks such as kitting, programming, tuning, and soldering, or the Machine Shop for heavier lifting tasks with deburring, punch press, and drill press operations. Quality Check and Assembly require heavier lifting, while Cable and Lamination focus on lighter, repetitive tasks. The products include RGBA lighting, RGBW units, and the latest Studio Force 3, ensuring a busy and dynamic work environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Toronto,ON.
