Job Description

<p>Reporting to the Bakery/Deli Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:</p><ul><li><p>Ensuring exceptional customer service is always provided.</p></li><li><p>Assist in the development of employee schedules and assign work task for each shift.</p></li><li><p>Ensure orders are submitted, received properly piece counts are conducted, and claims are processed in timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper merchandising and housekeeping standards within the bakery and deli departments including adequate display, stock, and rotation of products (FIFO).</p></li><li><p>Assist in the management of inventory including ordering, receiving, record management and rotation of all products and ingredients within the bakery and deli departments.</p></li><li><p>Ensure Fresh Item Management processes are properly adhered to including production planning, inventory tracking and recording markdowns (if applicable).</p></li><li><p>Assist with training the bakery and deli teams while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.</p></li><li><p>Maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and vendors. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety Policies and Programs, including safe equipment use and ensuring all food safety standards are met.</p></li><li><p>To follow all Policies and Procedures of Saskatoon Co-op</p></li></ul><p>Other duties as assigned.</p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years related experience with bakery, meat & cheese and HMR product lines to operated effectively as a supervisor in all areas of the department.</li><li>Must have capability to operate the required equipment for the preparations, merchandising and sale of bakery and deli products.</li><li>Must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.</li><li>Must have ability and experience in leading, training and supervising others.</li><li>Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.</li></ul><p>Deadline: October 6, 2025</p>
