Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Manager, Financial Systems Administration to join our finance business technology team on an 18-month contract basis. This role will work remotely in Canada on EST time zone.
What You'll Do:
- Provide essential support to finance users by managing access and maintaining our financial systems, including the ERP platform (Navision) and budgeting & forecasting tools (Adaptive Financial Planning). This includes system access administration, integration, report development, and application upkeep.
- Ensure seamless synchronization between AFP (Adaptive Financial Planning) and our core financial system (NAV) by maintaining and mapping General Ledger Accounts, Levels, and Dimensions accurately.
- Lead and support various projects, such as new system implementations and system enhancements. Key activities include gathering requirements, designing solutions, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), offering post-launch support, and delivering training and documentation.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy across different systems and reporting tools to ensure reliable financial insights.
- Assist with critical finance operations like month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure timely resolution of integration issues and errors between financial systems.
- Support compliance with internal controls related to IT systems, including maintaining policies and conducting user role reviews.
- Act as a liaison for external auditors by providing system-related documentation and meeting their requirements.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot existing systems, support system upgrades, and ensure finance and accounting needs are properly configured.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system functionality for greater efficiency.
- Build and strengthen relationships with cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors to resolve operational issues and explore opportunities for enhancements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working with FP&A reporting tools, with a preference for AFP.
- Proven track record with large ERP systems like MS Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including managing projects and implementing financial systems.
- Knowledge of internal controls and designing access and control procedures.
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance processes, including month-end and day-to-day operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
