About the Role:<br> LTS Protective Services is currently hiring a Dispatch Security Guard to join our Operations Centre team. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing communications, coordinating incident response, monitoring CCTV systems, and providing indirect supervision to frontline security personnel.<br><br>
As the central communication point for field staff and management, the Dispatch Security Guard must remain calm under pressure, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and ensure accurate record-keeping in real time.<br><br>
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.</li><li>Monitor incoming radio transmissions, telephone calls, and emails; document all communications accurately in the dispatch log.</li><li>Track and coordinate field operations, dispatching backup support as needed.</li><li>Maintain real-time monitoring of the CCTV camera system; report and document suspicious activity or policy breaches.</li><li>Update and manage lost and found, emergency contact lists, and key control systems.</li><li>Conduct periodic security equipment audits and report deficiencies.</li><li>Relay major incidents to management immediately.</li><li>Provide customer service and communication support to security staff and clients.</li><li>Assist with shift scheduling, availability tracking, and shift coverage coordination.</li><li>Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned.</li></ul>
<br>Required Qualifications & Certifications:<ul><li>Valid Ontario Security Guard License (must be current and on file)</li><li>Minimum 2 years experience in a security or operations-related role in Ontario.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in a dispatch, operations, or scheduling role.</li><li>Experience monitoring camera surveillance systems (CCTV)</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email systems, and basic scheduling software.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong customer service focus and professional demeanor under pressure.</li><li>Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and other relevant security procedures (preferred)</li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>
<br>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Prior experience using security dispatch systems or management portals (e.g., TrackTik, Silvertrac)</li><li>Familiarity with multi-channel communication (radio, phone, text, email)</li><li>Bilingual (asset but not required).</li><li>Demonstrated leadership or indirect supervisory experience.</li></ul>
<br>Compensation Details:<ul><li>Base Rate: $17.60/hour</li><li> Courses Premium: +$0.80/hour (applied if certifications are valid and current)</li><li> Total Rate: $18.40/hour when fully certified</li></ul>

Uniform Requirements:
Dispatch Security Guards are expected to maintain a professional appearance. While on duty, the following uniform is required:<ul><li>LTS-issued shirt and epaulettes.</li><li>Black cargo pants and all black CSA-approved footwear.</li><li>Valid ID badge displayed at all times.</li></ul>
