<h3>Job Description</h3>
<p>The Cloud & DevOps team is hiring a Lead Engineer to work on Enterprise platforms that support the entire organization’s product development. The role involves architecting, building, supporting, and communicating DevOps and Observability platforms using a stack of cloud‑native tools—including EKS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Elastic Observability, and Ansible. As a Lead Engineer, you will lead efforts to design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, driving automation and efficiency across the software development lifecycle. Your leadership will influence engineering excellence within your team and across the Technology & Data department. You will use your expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms to optimize performance and scalability, working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.</p>
<h3>Accountabilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead the design and build of robust, resilient, and scalable DevOps solutions for CI/CD, infrastructure, and logging/monitoring.</li>
<li>Align teams to DevOps standards on build, continuous integration, automated deployment, and application monitoring for their applications.</li>
<li>Implement reusable frameworks and reference implementations across CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE frameworks using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Vault, and related tools.</li>
<li>Analyze infrastructure automation code and communicate detailed reviews to developers to ensure alignment with standards.</li>
<li>Provide subject‑matter expertise to teams on industry DevOps practices and mature the practices in CPPIB.</li>
<li>Build and maintain a catalog of increasingly complex and reusable DevOps scripts, tools, and reference implementations.</li>
<li>Lead appropriately scoped DevOps projects, defining scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution.</li>
<li>Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software delivery process, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).</li>
<li>6+ years of relevant experience.</li>
<li>Experience automating builds, continuous integrations, deployment processes, and monitoring with industry best practices and standards.</li>
<li>Experience owning pieces of work focused on backend software development and DevOps development.</li>
<li>Ability to provide concise and persuasive reasons on the established standards and guidelines to application teams that vary in knowledge of the topics.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in multiple languages (e.g., Java, Python, Bash) with experience building software pipelines with various DevOps tools—Terraform, Consul, Vault, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, CI Server (Jenkins, TFS/VSTS), Git, Artifactory, and build tools (maven, gradle, npm, docker, etc.).</li>
