They are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, and they are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to lead their project teams.<br><br><strong>Job Description:</strong><br /> As a Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating groundworks and excavation projects. You will be responsible for leading construction crews, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and managing day-to-day project operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><br><ul><li>Team Leadership: Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring they work efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.</li><li>Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily project activities, including excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring that all personnel adhere to safety guidelines.</li><li>Quality Control: Monitor work progress to ensure that excavation and groundworks meet or exceed quality standards and client expectations.</li><li>Equipment Management: Coordinate the use of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring they are maintained and operated safely and efficiently.</li><li>Material and Resource Management: Oversee the use of materials, supplies, and resources required for the project, ensuring efficient allocation and minimizing waste.</li><li>Client Communication: Maintain open communication with clients, addressing any project-related concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.</li><li>Problem Solving: Identify and address issues or obstacles that may arise during the project, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track.</li><li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work completed, and any deviations from the project plan.</li><li>Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Project Manager, detailing project status, progress, and any issues that need attention.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification or education in construction management is a plus).</li><li>Proven experience as a Foreman in groundworks, excavation, or civil construction.</li><li>Strong knowledge of excavation and groundworks processes, methods, and safety regulations.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to operate and understand heavy equipment is an advantage.</li><li>Familiarity with local construction regulations and permits.</li></ul><strong>Additional Information:</strong><br><br> This is a full-time position based in Edmonton, Alberta <br /> Competitive compensation and benefits package.</p></p>
