We are currently looking for CGSB certified RT 2 technicians or will support training and certification for the right candidate who has experience as a CEDO.</p><p><strong>WORKING FOR NORTECH:</strong></p><p><strong>Nortech is a company that is currently growing rapidly within the Western Canadian market. Nortech additionally provides a health spending account, and maintains a Group Retirement Plan with employer contribution of 6% match for all employees outside of the probationary period.</strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br /> Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment<br /> Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection<br /> Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations<br /> Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results<br /> Organize and report test results<br /> Perform specialized inspections<br /> May instruct and supervise others<br /> Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management<br /></p><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</strong><br /> High School Diploma or equivalent<br /> CGSB Level II Certification in RT is an asset. Additional certification to MT, PT, or UT is an asset<br /> Technical background in NDT methods and procedures<br /> Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections<br /> Knowledge of NDT equipment</p><p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:</strong><br />Possess team leadership, management and business administration capabilities and with very good negotiation and communication skills.
