POSITION OVERVIEW:
We’re seeking a Category Manager with a sharp financial perspective to drive strategy and solution-oriented marketing initiatives. Focused primarily on the Finance sector, this role demands dynamic leadership and industry acumen to translate market insights into innovative advertising solutions, ultimately bolstering revenue growth.
As a Category Manager, you’ll report to the Head of Digital Ad Innovation and Category Management, collaborating seamlessly across various departments. From Editorial and Custom Content to Sales and Marketing, your role will be pivotal in delivering deep analyses of Finance, Insurance, Education, Business, and Technology sectors. By harnessing both proprietary and third-party advertising products, you’ll craft tailored strategies to meet client needs, propelling advertising revenue forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively devise marketing insights and innovative advertising solutions.
- Analyze evolving consumer trends and business challenges within specific categories, effectively communicating insights to the sales division.
- Create compelling presentations utilizing our products to captivate clients and drive revenue generation.
- Oversee category products, ensuring comprehensive reporting and strategic alignment.
- Develop analytical frameworks supporting Sales in identifying new business prospects, leveraging internal and external research.
- Conduct thorough competitive analysis to articulate strategic advantages to advertising clients.
- Cultivate an in-depth understanding of all advertising services within designated categories to drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate on sales strategies for top-priority client accounts.
- Develop comprehensive category playbooks and quarterly strategy plans.
- Engage with editorial teams to identify category integration opportunities.
- Provide the sales team with up-to-date competitive analysis, trends, and insights.
- Assist in crafting compelling responses to RFPs and maintaining sales-related resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of category/product marketing experience, preferably in Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or media.
- Proven ability to convert analysis into insights and develop engaging product presentations.
- Experience independently driving and managing complex projects.
- Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
