We are currently seeking individuals to assume the fulfilling position of Casual Part-time Pool Maintainer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and under the direct supervision of the Aquatic Centre Maintenance Supervisor, the Pool Maintainer is primarily responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and mechanical operation of the new Aquatic Centre. The incumbent ensures the Aquatic Centre is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and is operating effectively and efficiently.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The incumbent must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, Pool Operator Certification (levels 1 and 2), standard first aid/CPR-C and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification, as well as a valid NWT Class 5 Drivers' license. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in janitorial work and building maintenance is also required.

Please note: The Pool Operator certifications can be attained through courses taught by the Community Services Department.

SALARY:

The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive hourly wage of $38.40 per hour as well as 4% Vacation pay. This position works a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
