<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Please apply directly to this website >>> </strong><strong><span >https://jobs.fillarole.ca/job</span>-<span >board/jobs/847/asphalt</span>-pavement-operators/sorrento-<span >bc?utm_source=Workable</span>&<span >utm_medium=Referral</span>&<span >utm_campaign=Asphalt%20Pavement%20Operators</span></strong></p><p></p><p>Job Duties: </p><p>Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steer, compactors, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and asphalt, concrete or other materials </p><p>Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread or compact concrete, asphalt and other surface materials during highway and road construction</p><p>Operate power shovels to excavate rock, ore or other materials from construction sites</p><p>Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload materials</p><p>Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.</p><p>Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas when required </p><p>Mix, pour and spread materials such as asphalt with equipment and manually if needed </p><p>Secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities</p><p>Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake, shovel and equipment </p><p>Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment when required </p><p>Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, tampers and other equipment as directed</p><p>Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps</p><p>Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Job Requirements: </p><p>2-3 years experience working with asphalt and operating equipment </p><p>Punctual </p><p>Willing to work long hours </p><p>Willing to work outside year round </p><p>Work as part of a team as well as independent </p><p>Drug and alcohol testing may be required</p><p>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</p><p>Able to work standing for long periods </p><p>Willing to work overtime as needed</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Please apply directly to this website >>> </strong><strong><span >https://jobs.fillarole.ca/job</span>-<span >board/jobs/847/asphalt</span>-pavement-operators/sorrento-<span >bc?utm_source=Workable</span>&<span >utm_medium=Referral</span>&<span >utm_campaign=Asphalt%20Pavement%20Operators</span></strong></p><p></p><p></p></p></p>
