ABA Instructor Therapist

Job Description

Job Type: On-Going Part-time, Independent Contractor Position.<br><br>Hours: All applicants MUST have availability for a minimum of 4 hours (2 x 2 hr sessions) on weeknights after school.

Side by Side Therapy is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill contract Instructor Therapist positions in Toronto and surrounding areas. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in the children's home while employing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and RBA.<br><br>Successful Candidates Must:<ul><li>Possess a minimum of 6 months employment experience as an Instructor Therapist or similar role, implementing ABA procedures as directed by an RBA.</li><li>Implement sessions as directed by the RBA in accordance with the client's Individualized Service Plan (ISP) in the client's home or community.</li><li>Implement feedback from the RBA (or delegate) in a timely manner to improve client outcomes.</li><li>Record and graph data and notes required by the RBA.</li><li>Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions with clients.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with parents, other team members, and the agency.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the RBA.</li></ul>

Successful Candidates Should Possess:<ul><li>Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.</li><li>Access to a reliable method of transportation.</li><li>A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.</li></ul>
<br>Additional Assets:<ul><li>Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course completion is an asset.</li><li>Completion of the RBT course or previous registration as an RBT with the BACB.</li><li>ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.</li><li>CPR / First Aid certification.</li><li>Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or similar certification).</li></ul>
