Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanic that can service trucks and equipment related to the landscape gardening industry. The position of Mechanic is an integral part of our operations. During Winter season ON-Call Shifts are available. <br><br>Vacancy: 1.<br><br>Pay:<ul><li>$37.85- $43.26 per hour, depending on experience/certification.</li><li>Benefits after 3 months.</li><li>Company matching RRSP after one year of employment.</li></ul>
<br>Job Duties:<ul><li>Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, dozers, back-hoe, etc. is an asset.</li><li>Take immediate action to rectify any hazardous conditions and report to management.</li><li>Ensure that all of the tools you work with are in good and safe operating condition.</li><li>Never allow vehicles or equipment to leave the shop unless they are safe to operate.</li><li>Have red tags available (see red tag policy) when tools and equipment need repair or are faulty.</li><li>Ensure that the shop is left in a clean and safe condition at the end of every day.</li><li>Keep tools neat orderly and safe from theft and misplacement.</li><li>Once per month inspect the shop fire extinguisher and mark on the tag initials and date.</li></ul>
<br>Qualifications and Requirements:<ul><li>310T.</li><li>Driver's License Class "G" or better.</li><li>Be knowledgeable about gasoline engines and vehicles.</li><li>Be knowledgeable on diesel vehicles and equipment.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance (semi-annual inspections).</li><li>General truck, trailer, equipment repairs, and assets.</li></ul>
<br>Abilities Required:<ul><li>Recognize and follow occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.</li><li>Able to work efficiently with little supervision.</li></ul>
